Edith and Tim booked me to be their wedding photographer just before Christmas. Being a February wedding I was a bit concerned about the light, especially as they had over a hundred guests for the first part of the day and we were trying to get a group shot of everyone after the service at 3.00pm. Edith seemed to have more faith in the sunshine than me, and she was proved right. We had the best day for over a week and managed to take all the formal photos outside before the reception.
The whole event took place at Brighton College. There was a civil ceremony in the Hordern Room, followed by a blessing in the chapel next door. The reception and evening event took place in the Great Hall. Having everything in one place seemed like a good idea as Tim and Edith’s guests had come from Nigeria, the United States, Dubai and pretty well all over the world, so they probably didn’t feel like doing any more travelling by the time they had arrived in Brighton.
As I faded away at about 8.30pm, Tim and Edith returned from a short rest, in traditional African costume, to start the evening dancing. More guests were arriving for the party and it looked like it was going to go on on for a while!
